WHAT IS ONEAPP?
OneApp functions as a bridge, linking entry-level individuals to the employment opportunities they aspire to. As an integral component of a Software as a Service (SaaS) product, OneApp facilitates colleges and universities in seamlessly onboarding their final-year students for participation On-campus placements and Off-Campus job opportunities.
This innovative SaaS transforms into a one-stop platform for students, simplifying the application process and to upskill themselves for their job venture
WHAT WAS THE NEED OF REDESIGN
Upon detecting a significant decline in user engagement, user interviews were conducted to understand application challenges.
Key observations from initial User interviews revealed:
Users find a shortage of relevant job listings on the platform.
Application errors hinder the job application process.
Prolonged loading times frustrate users during applications.
The app lacks an efficient job tracking mechanism.
Lengthy paragraphs impede users' ability to extract information effectively.
Limited awareness of courses due to their buried placement in the app.
Considering Business Objectives:
Low user retention post-job placement is a challenge.
Course sales on the platform are struggling.
Complete user profiles are vital for gathering data points, essential for personalized job and course recommendations.
Currently app targets B2B Users majorly, there is a need to create universal platform for B2B & B2C Users.

DESIGN SOLUTION
After a lot of design ideas and discussion I finalised following ideas as the design solution which can bring the desired goal to both User and Business:
1. User Retention:
Introducing GetWork Space to address this issue.
In the early stages of user research, it was identified that tier three students face a dearth of mentorship and counselling during the job application phase. In response, GetWork students can connect with mentors through webinars, one-on-one live sessions, and offline seminars within this platform. In case of missed sessions, students have the option to re-stream them on their GetWork account. GetWork will curate relevant content to assist students in fostering a sense of mentorship and gaining confidence for job applications.
This endeavour aims to motivate newcomers to consistently prioritize skill enhancement in their professional journey, ultimately contributing to heightened user retention for the business.

2. Job Tracking:
Users can track the jobs they have applied to with the constant reminder to complete their assignments and for the scheduled interview. This will allow the users to keep track of all the jobs they have applied to.

3. Application Process:
The application process underwent evaluation and simplification for optimal user accessibility. Users receive personalized job recommendations based on their skills, heightening job relevance. Attaining 100% profile completion collects valuable data for tailoring course and job suggestions, thereby improving the overall user experience with more pertinent information on the platform.
Additionally, the "Top Hire" section allows users to observe the growing number of candidates hired from the platform, fostering trust and credibility.

4. Course Upselling:
Promoting courses and nudging users to explore relevant ones was a key challenge. Before selling courses, it was crucial to convey their importance. Nudge strategies were implemented, such as emphasizing the skills users lacked for relevant jobs, while motivating them by recognizing their existing skills and underscoring the need for acquiring new ones.

HOW DID I REACH TO THE SOLUTION
1. Information Architecture:
Information Architecture of important flows are listed below in order to create a detailed view of the app functionality and features.

3. High Fidelity Screen
High Fidelity Screens were crafted with a focus on preserving the user's intent and prioritizing business goals. The objective was to ensure a seamless user experience, and the incorporation of micro-interactions played a key role in guiding users for maximum impact.

KEY LEARNINGS & CHALLENGE
This project helped to understand business aspect of the product. I was constantly involved with the business team to incorporate features and functionality that can boost the user engagement.
The to and for approach of connecting with real users helped me to understand the user behaviour for this particular application and that way I was able to make changes to the user flow.
There were a lot of ideas that came to my mind while working on the application but I realised the importance of prioritising the problems and then coming up with this idea. During this process I had to let go of few ideas as well.
I realised the importance of design system in this project as well. This application is a white label application as well which needs to designed in a number of different themes. Design system helped in that aspect.
